Helen has been working in the fitness industry over the last decade, predominantly teaching exercise to music within a studio setting for Impulse Leisure – Blackshots, but has continued her personal fitness qualifications by obtaining her YMCA Personal Trainer award and GP Referral, Pre and Post Natal Certificates.
Over the last three years, Helen wanted to improve her understanding of strengthening the body from the inside out and looked to gain a qualification in Pilates. Helen felt that the STOTT PILATES method offered her a career path that would challenge and enhance her fitness industry skills.
Helen recently qualified as a STOTT PILATES Certified Instructor, and is continuing to develop her skills in this area. Helen strongly believes that STOTT PILATES provide a safe and effective method of teaching Pilates that can be adapted and modified to suit everyone’s needs, and is particularly useful in rehabilitation as exercises can be designed to prevent as well as rehabilitate injuries. Helen is also REPS level 3 qualified (Register of Exercise Professionals).
