About Yoga

One to One Yoga sessions gives a tailor made practice that is suitable to each individual symptom, level and requirement.

The word Yoga means to “unite”.

Yoga is renowned for its ancient art in physical and mental therapy. Yoga is a practice for all levels of fitness and flexibility and can be gentle, challenging, invigorating and calming. Yoga brings movement and strength to the whole body supported with breath awareness.

Emma has been teaching Yoga since 2004, trained through BWY (British Wheel of Yoga) recognised by the Central Council for Physical Recreation (CCPR) and Sport England as the national Governing Body for Yoga.

Emma holds certificates in: BWY Teaching Diploma, BWY Yoga for Pregnancy, Mums and Baby / Toddlers Yoga, Diplomas in Traditional Thai Yoga Massage Practitioner Level and Advanced Practitioner Level (see Holistic Therapies), Laughter Facilitator and Practical Diploma in Indian Head Massage.

She is a member of: BWY, CThA (Complementary Therapists Association), EMBODY, REPs (Registered Exercise Professional)

Emma teaches 11 classes a week through leisure centres, privately run venues and William Edwards School, she has valuable experience on various styles of Yoga and uses her knowledge to improve the well being of her students either physically and or emotionally.

Emma started practicing Yoga due to a car accident that left her with back problems and anxiety attacks which Yoga has controlled / healed. Emma also had knee surgery when she young and Yoga has also improved both strength and flexibility to her legs and hips.
